Whether you’re new to Twitter or you simply feel like jazzing up your news feed with interesting and entertaining tweets from the most influential people, what you need is a well-rounded list of the most loved accounts around.
To give you a bit of guidance, we’ve put together a list of our top tweeters, from sportsmen and social media gurus to comedians and world-class bloggers. We believe there’s a lot to be learnt on Twitter, and with so many different sectors, personalities and businesses making use of it, there’s something for everyone.
Creating a news feed that features a broad range of subjects from people at the top of their field allows you to follow the latest trends, keep-up-to-date in industry news updates and may even inspire your own use of social media.
With that in mind, here are a few of our suggestions:
Usain Bolt is without a doubt an inspiring man, even if you don’t have a keen interest in sport. Of course, translating this into tweets is another thing that this sportsman does just as well and as a result he is an engaging, philosophical, friendly man to follow on Twitter. Plus, his arguments with Piers Morgan are rather entertaining to view!
Russell Brand has a real good holdall on how to express himself on Twitter and his tweets are more often than not fluid, eloquent, informative, thought-provoking and of course just as frantic as the man in person himself.
News, industry, inspiration – all pretty serious things to engage in during your down time, which is why we’ve added Rob Delaney onto this list. Offering laugh-out-load moments galore, this guy was rightly awarded the ‘Funniest Person on Twitter’ award last year.
John Paul Aguiar
OK, so as you well know Twitter isn’t all about fun and laughter either. There are some really cool business connections to be made out there, much like Mr Aguiar who helps bloggers and entrepreneurs use social media marketing to their full advantage. He’s all talk on Twitter, but he’s also a living example of how successful social media can make you. Determined to come off disabled benefits, he managed to do so in just 11 months and now wants to tell the world how they can do it too!
If you haven’t yet heard of Zoella (yes, that applies to all of you) you’re doing something wrong. Either you live in a hole or you need to get out more. Zoella is currently the most talked about YouTube star and is certainly worth a follow, even if it is just to see how she is getting it soooo right!
